Description

  • Provide the zip codes for the patients that providers see, aggregated by NPI, with the intent of determining where a provider practices. To fully protect patient privacy, the data aggregation could be higher than typical (e.g. 50 patient per zip codes).

  • Value to industry/public: This could help CMS/HHS flag providers who appear to have moved but have not yet updated their NPI numbers. For example, if a provider lists a practice address in TX but all their patients are in FL, it may be flag that the provider has moved.
